A Perth painting and decorating business built on craftsmanship, experience and doing the job properly.
Rightway is owner operated by Jacob Pratt. With nearly 10 years of hands on experience in the painting and coatings industry, Jacob worked his way up from apprentice to foreman before launching and running his own painting business in New Zealand. After relocating to Perth, he founded Rightway Painting & Decorating to bring that same standard to homeowners, builders and businesses across Western Australia.
From apprentice to owner
Jacob's career started on the tools as an apprentice, learning the trade the traditional way: preparation before paint, the right product for every surface and a finish you can stand behind. Progressing to foreman meant running crews, managing residential, commercial and renovation projects and being accountable for the result on every site.
Running his own painting business in New Zealand added the other half of the picture: honest quoting, clear communication and turning up when promised. The majority of that work came through referrals and repeat clients, which remains the strongest measure of the standard Rightway works to today.
